time for new pads and rotors again. I do tow quite a bit but also do a lot of city driving. What are the pro's and cons of each?
I am looking at NAPA pads and rotors right now.

Looking on google didn't really help. People say they make "noise" but i have never had a issue with that. It seems people don't lube the sliders very well. I always have and haven't had a issue.

Others say simi metallic transfers heat better than ceramic... but fade when they get too hot.

Not sure what to think. Any input?

My one experience running semi-metallics on my Jeep was not a good one - lots of dragging noises from the pads themselves and they just did not seem to stop the Jeep as well as the OEM pads. They were so bad I only had them on about 5K miles before I swapped the rotors and put ceramics back on, been happy ever since.

I have been putting on ceramics for the past 10 yrs or so. I have really noticed the difference between them. They stop better and usually have little brake dust to deal with. Just don't get the cheapest ones there. Spend the few bucks more and get the higher quality set.

No, don't remember what brand they were. They are still on there doing their job. Need to go down this next weekend and grab some for the rear since they are finally ready to change (105K miles, not too bad).

The Libertys come with ceramic pads. If you aren't swapping rotors, then I highly suggest sticking to ceramics. If you're changing out the rotors then use whatever the manufacturer suggests.
