I don't suppose you could ask your dealership to give my local dealership some pointers on offering the same deals?

We took it in today for a Free oil change to the dealer.

We are also have the tranny and computer software looked at.
To see if any updates will help out poor shifting on the freeway.

Also getting the tires moved around
and a free Alignment.

Hopfully they will wash it as well..

Wow, 5k miles on a 08!!! you barely drive it!!!!

took the drivers side door panel off to fix an annoying rattle...put some foam backing on it in a few spots...no more rattle... :)

tried bending a hood bracket to stop the darn thing from rattling, didn't work, had a dealer look at it a few weeks ago, they said "we couldn't get it to rattle"...mind you, i told them exactly where it was coming from more importantly they didn't drive the vehicle to see for themselves...idiots

almost bought a flowmaster muffler, decided against it...lol

1. remove the door handle bezel *used a small skinny screwdriver for this*
2. remove the bolt thats behind that bezel *forgot the size of it offhand*
3. bottom of the door is a small cap, remove that and remove the screw *its a torx screw*
4. remove PW/PL switch cover and unplug those *same screwdriver from before*
5. pull the entire door panal up and it will pop out.

so basically you need...a prying tool or screwdriver, torx screwdriver set, and 10mm socket...should take all of 5 minutes to do...

All you need is a 20 inch mud terrain tire and that will solve all of your noise issues

Well update..
We got our KK back.

Yes the 08 KK does not get driven much, but we just got it Feb 2009.
it was a wedding gift my wife bought her self. That we get to pay off for 3.5 more years.

Well they flashed the tranny computer and it hold in gear longer. This is good, that helped get the Lockup convert to starting working right.

They did a warranty alignament as the Toe was really out of whack.
But they did not get the steering wheel cented right. Darn lazy techs...
It is not that hard....
The good news is it is off the right way, so i might leave it, as it fits my driving style.

The Jeep does drive better witht he front tires not toes out so fare now.

Sad part is they did not even wash it.. I have a $35K Jeep and they could not even wash the darn thing.. What will make use the dealer, if they do sloppy work and can not even wash it. I am better off doing the work my self....

oh well... I paid $17 for the service and i still witch,,,.......

 I know how you feel.... that is why when something breaks, I throw it at the service manager and tell them I'll do the work... They give in at this point. I think it might have something to do with me making the master tech look like an idiot ???

ASE means you can take a test...
nothing more nothing less...

I hate tests my self... I never could pass those, but i never had a client asking me to re-cent is wheel aft an alignment...
Or issues with brake squeaking after a brake job...

Glad the Big Brown Van came buy.. I know it is getting near the end of there season for safe driving in Colorado....
Better to get all our winter good order now...
