Yes make wide turns..
Brake in advance and give your self lots of room.
have a Plan B and C at all time in traffic
Do not speed...
use the Tow\Hual if u have an automatic..

Over all 2000 lbs is not a huge deal for these KK's. but still....
If you do not tow normaly, just take it easy...
Gass up before you hook up.
Your MPG might get cut in half, so plan for that...
I tell new towers to carry 5 Gallons of gass with them, if they have the jub already and filler tube...

my experience with trailors is a little limited but i have diver a 35ft straight job kenworth before with a 40 yarder filled with concrete... so my advice to you if you never towed before is just to take you're time... when turning swing wide but not too wide. Know that when you turn right anyone to the right of you could be hit by the trailer if you're not careful. Give yourself double the room if not more when you normally would. Like mentioned beware of the gas because if may go quick, so plan a couple of gas stops. and the most important thing is to stay calm and just be aware of everything. as they say, slow and steady wins the race!

If you have the factory tow package on a 08+ you have trailer sway control built in. Don' use the tow switch to turn off the over drive it will kill your gas mileage. Use it in the mountains.

It my kill your gas mileage, but depending on the weight of the load, it will save you from frying your trans because of excessive slippage of the torque converter depending on the terrain .

Sorry Digger, I haven't read the owners manual on the Jeep. Ford recommended towing in overdrive (F350) and I pull a 36' fifth wheel at 15,000lbs. no problems.

Big difference in the auto trans there, one is built for towing(the Ford F350) and the other is not(the KK's 42RLE,aka the minivan trans).
