So I've discovered a few things (two to be specific) about the KK that really annoy me and it just proves that the car drives you, not the other way around

Scenario 1
So lets say that I need light: My bud's car needs a tire to be changed and we are a lot of miles away from the city.. and its getting dark: Solution? Use the KKs headlamps: I have two choices here:
Keep the engine idling with the headlamps on while changing the tire
OR
keep the headlamps on like Id do on any other car, while the car key is in the off positon: PROBLEM? My jeep thinks that its ok to turn off the lights automatically after 10 minutes to save the battery... REALLY ANNOYING.

Scenario 2
2.- Lets say that your dealership ran out of the BLUE windshield cleaner liquid... and they decide to use regular water which you dont like because at home you have several gallons of the blue stuff...
Solution 1:
Use a small hose to empty the tank
Solution 2
YOU DONT FIND THE SMALL HOSE YOU HAD BECAUSE YOUR MAID MISPLACED IT so...
use the water pump to empty the tank: PROBLEM? your kk does not like to get its windshield wet for more than 8 seconds for two consecutive rounds.... if you try a 3rd time water will not come out..
same applies for the rear wiper

so yeah, I see why DCX did this, but I kinda miss the good ol days where you told your car what to do and it will obey you no matter what.... If you had your wipers on and you turned off your car then theyd get stuck in the middle possition... this never happened to me, but I still see A LOT of people doing this (specially gals)
I think that people who dont turn off their wipers BEFORE turning off their cars should have their license revoked

Ok thanks for reading, I just had to vent

Don't get me started on fly by wire throttles and automatic transmissions...

That's why I've got a carburetor on my Cutlass and soon to be TKO600 5-speed.

I can assure you that you can only hold the thing down for 8 seconds before it stops... and you can only do it twice
I guess its a 2009 thing :S

I FORGOT THE FLY BY WIRE THROTTLES
geezz.
see what I mean? your car decides A LOT OF THINGS for you...

Also, how about the BCM "adapting" to your driving style? Back when I had my XJ (cherokee) I learned from the car... how it would react to certain specific scenarios, not the other way...

Silver squirrel eater...

Do you have higher end control on the steering wheel?
if so you might be able to adjust the head light that way...

Also the throttle by wire can be fixed.
I posted an issues with it and Mike fix it...

" Someone had posted this info a while back ... You might want to give this a try and see if it works and fixes your issues
"Im not sure if this works for Jeeps, but on Dodge Chargers,we can recalibrate the throttle buy turning key to on position, press the gas pedal down then let up pedal slowly.Turn off key, then start and the throttle should take out the hesitation.I had to do this to my Charger, and it worked. Its one of the biggest complaints.I hope it works.Good Luck."
"...

But i think it is better to add more light to the front with a relay and switch.

haha
I dont eat squirrels but Id sure like to be more like Foamy the squirrel... he is our lord and master  hahaha
The computer adjustments done by the EVIC do not include a setting to fix this: You can only adjust the headlamp delay (30, or 90 seconds) after you turn off your car.
The thing done to the charger was a common "fix" that I also did on mine... but after a short period of time it comes back...
I guess its a brand issue... :S
we just have to learn to deal with this

It can't be "fixed". You can take out some of the lag but it still sucks. It needs to be tweaked front the computer and for that you need a programmer which from my research B&G is really the only place with will fully remap it.

ALSO on your rant ... Sorry but I'd rather have my headlights turn off after 10 mins then have a dead battery AND it only takes 2 sec to get them back on AND if it takes you more then 10 mins to change a spare then you shouldn't be changing it.

Hey, if you add in bullpoop time and beer time, it could take a bit especially if it happens to be a nice young lady you are helping :P

ha! that depends
what if your friend has a clunker that
1.- his wheel wrench is busted
2.- his lug nuts are so tight that you think you will end up breaking it... and you lost some time because you had to lurk around for your pocket size can of WD40
so yeah... 10 mins is a lot when changing a tire on a relatively new car... but not on a clunker...

Mike, with all due respect... dont get me wrong or anything... as a matter of fact I like your style... but sometimes you can be.......
how to say....
hmmmm

Well, to put it simple, a jerk ...

you always imply that you are better than everyone else, that you know everything about everything and sometimes judge a lot....

I could not care less about what you said in your post, but how about this:

I lost hand during an accident, and It takes me more than usual to do stuff normal people would do in a fraction of the time... but I have learned to live with it... and I do everything a normal person would do but at a slower pace.

Dude really, you have to change your attitude here.... this is not the first time you criticize someone in a demeaning way.
