My original tires on my 2006 Liberty Renegade were the Goodyears. I promise they were spinning on wet grass and I traded way up to Michelins. They ran good but were expensive and cost more now. A few eweeks ago, at 85K miles, I needed new tires again. With the price of 3 new Michelins being more than 4 BFG AT's, I seetled for the latter. Man, there is a big difference in the traction. I wish I had the BFGs to start off with. They are a bit more noisy that the Michelins and the ride is not as smooth, but they grab the dirt/mud/what have you. I am real happy with the new shoes.

Just FYI

i loved my bfg at's!
if you properly rotate and balance them... i balanced every 3k and rotated and balanced every 6k.... you can get 60K out of them like I did! and they weren't down to the belts either! :D

i ran some 265/75/16 BFG AT's on my KJ for 20,000 miles and they were OUTSTANDING on road... and off at the beginning. seems like when 3/8 to half their life is gone so is their traction in mud. still great on road/snow/wet/everything but mud!

If you're going to balance them every 3, why not rotate every 3? I would expect you'd get nicer wear and you've got them off the jeep anyway.

How often do you align?
