Do you guys know what tool works to remove the inner tie rods on our KJs? The one I bought does not fit. The socket end is not deep enough to reach the crows foot. I tried a wrench already. thanks.

I tried that. Mine is on rock solid tight and there is not really enough room to work on it. Plus, I don't really like how it puts too much force on the gear assembly. I was just looking for a part number for a inner tie rod removal tool that is known to work with our KJs. I think I may try grinding down the tool I have and making it work.

Try turning the steering wheel all the way to the side you are trying to remove, that helps.I wish I could find a pic of the inner tie rod end tool I mostly use. It's basically a ultra stout u-bolt clamp with knurled edges and a 3/8" drive hole in it,just tighten down and insert a long 3/8" extension and ratchet and turn, cost me $15 from the Cornwell Tool truck and works awesome.

Thanks, I got it off this time by turning the steering wheel like you mentioned. I should of thought of that before. It made it a lot easier to get a wrench in there and I used my leg to push on the wrench.
