The last time someone mentioned flushing the transmission another person showed us a Chrysler bulletin showing they were against "flushing" transmission and power steering

Check the fluid level and then maybe read the FSM on how to force the TCM to relearn individual shifts

I have had my 06 F37'd since I drove it off the lot 3 yrs ago. Never towed, no ECM tune, now @45K. Noticed trans has occasional subtle slip or thunk/hard shift a couple times (3) in past month. No issues prior, should I flush and change filters prior to trip to SD and see if it improves, or do I have a bigger issue w/ TC? Thanks. Oh, no codes BTW.

I'm no expert but I believe that FSM is the Factory Service Manual, there is a link around here somewhere to be able to download it for free.

Great tips Joe, my Eco Jeep has not engaged properly on a cold park to R or D since I did a fluid and filter change. I have the 06 Liberty  FSM  CD, I just printed the "Drive learn instructions, will do the procedure when the wife gets back with the warmed up tranny.

When I first switched to 215-85-R16 tires the trans shifting was a little off. After taking it on work related trips where I piled up over 1500 miles in a couple weeks, the trans now shifts properly. FSM may have a way to train it faster than driving for two weeks and going over 1500 miles. Been too busy to even look it up.
