Was bumped in the rear end in a parking lot, so I'm going to replace it. Yeah, I'd like to upgrade to a nice rear bumper with hooks, but I'm not in that financial position right now.

How do I get after this thing? Easy, or a PITA?

I know rivets and other junk hold it up there...are these reusable? do I have to buy all new hardware? Looks like I may have procured a used rear cover for cheap, but not sure about the hardwear/connections involved, and the dealership wasn't too helpful.

Input? Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Chad

I'd go to Napa and get all new hardware. It is really cheap and the old ones most likely won't hold the new bumper on very well. To take the old ones off you will have to drill out (which is easiest) or pry out the old rivet fasteners. Not a terribly hard job.

its easy, just more of a pain in the butt than it is hard. its easy. as long as the rears are the same as an 02, there should be 2 bolts on each side behind the rear-most flares. take off the rivets in the wheelwell and you can pop off the rear flares halfway to get to the bolts, then theres some screws when you open the tailgate, under the weather stripping, and more rivets underneath the bumper
