So I went to the muffler shop and when they put the Jeep up on the rack, they told me that I had a nasty coolant leak. They brought me back there and sure enough - coolant all over the ground, front end, steering rack and suspension. I thought this was strange since I just had it flushed less than 1,000 miles ago. They pressure tested it and said it was fine - no leaks :?: :?: :?: This was a week ago and I've been keeping an eye on it. The temperature gauge hasn't gone up and I'm not low on coolant. What the heck?! Where did it come from if the system is intact and sealed?

Who flushed it? How was it flushed? and most importantly was it filled with the correct coolant.

Check the water pump. Mine just went about a month ago. Under heavy RPMs coolant was shooting out, hitting the belts and getting sprayed all over the place.

Now my heater supply hose just blew. Just like you, it past a pressure test after the water pump was fixed.

I ABSOLUTELY made sure that the shop that did the flush used the HOAT coolant, in fact I even supplied a gallon of it so they knew what I meant. As far as how they flushed it, I haven't a clue - didn't ask, but I believe they did it by hand since this is a reputable and honest shop that does things properly, where the techs aren't afraid of a little dirt under their nails. After I got home from the muffler shop, I cleaned all the coolant off the frame and rack that I could find. I crawled around under the Jeep a couple days ago and didin't see any more coolant, so I don't think anything is currently leaking. Like I said, I've been keeping an eye on it and the coolant level isn't dropping... :?
