Anybody have a sunroof in their Libby might want to check the drain tubes? My friend has an 06-07 Libby and after 48 hours of rain she went to start it and it was dead. Towed it to the stealership and they told her the drain tubes from the sun roof clogged which routed the water into her dash and onto the computer and fried it. Luckily she had a warranty on it and won't have to pay much to fix it. Is this a legit thing? Sounded kinda weird, but possible I guess.

I dont know if its the same problem but it seems when it rains hard i get water draining from the roof by the passenger side cargo window on to the floor of the compartment. I had it worked on at the dealership and they put in new seals by the window but i still have the problem sometimes...this may sound stupid but i think the way i close the sunroof has something to do with it.

Legit? Very likely... a good point actually to go check. I have marvelled for a couple of years now that the sunroof has some kind of catch tray up there in case a little water drips in... and never gave it any thought.
One more thing to put on my checklist!
Ah, the joys of Jeep ownership!
thenop1, there is a classic issue of water puddling on the passenger side floor from a clogged drain associated with the heat/ac. I'd never heard of it on a KJ, but it's 'normal' in a TJ. Alternative cause in TJs are failure of the cowl gasket. A leak from the sunroof is going to drain down the headliner into the dash area, killing a lot of other things along the way before it gets to the floor.

This really can happen.
Having managed a body shop I can say you see all kinds of strange things.

Alot of airborne objects can and will fall onto a vehicle and some of them will find their way into drain tubes and such.

Not to mention if you live near any type of foliage which sheds leaves, needles, seeds and the like.

She's lucky she had the warranty.

Yeah I don't even want to know what she would of had to pay if she didn't.
