I just want to see how much I really am paying compared to everyone else.
So I want to see what all of you guys are paying per month.
Put your company and your monthly payment.

If you don't want to put it down, then dont.

I have USAA and I pay $225 a month, and thats with a lot of discounts.

I'll play, but there are too many variables for you to know if you're paying too much by whatever else is paying. Things like age, driving record, credit rating, how many vehicles on the policy, the dollar amount of the coverage and how big of a deductible you pay. Where the car is registered by zip code, and if it's parked on the street, or in a garage. Also, how long you've been with the company, the more things you have insured with them like homeowner/renter etc. play into the equation.

Another consideration is the company itself. They are not all created equal. Customer service, how they handle claims and what they pay out is a big factor for me.

With all that said... I pay in the neighborhood of $178.00 a month for three vehicles... an '08 Jeep JK, an '06 Jeep KJ and a '94 Honda Civic SI.

The best thing for you to do is to shop around... and read up on the company you're interested in.

I live in ruralish area just outside of a poor, busy, small city (90,000 pop or so). We have Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, I'm 34, get good driver discount, multipolicy discount for having wifes car, her life, and our house at the same company. I pay like 30 dollars per year membership fee. For full coverage with I believe 500 deductables my insurance is $250 per 6 months. So about $42 per month.

My parents used them and I've been using them for 16 years now. I've had 5-6 claims from hail to hit and runs (and me causing accidents when I was 16...) and I've never had any problems with them being slow or not paying as expected. I've dealt with them from 3 seperate county offices and they've all be really easy to deal with, let me get my work done where I want, and usually just pay what the shop tells them too.

I have 3 cars.
2 drivers and we pay $155 a month.
i have USAA as well.

But i am also 33 and l have renters insurance....

It helps to add things like Life, home owner/renters insurance and other thing so you get the most discounts.

We also have no tickets or accidents on our records...

Could we pay less, maybe, could we pay more, for sure....

I cal USAA 2 times a year and make sure i am getting the right discounts.
All folks should call up and make sure there policy is right for them

I'd walk if I had to pay what some of you pay a month for insurance. The most I have ever paid for insurance was $130 a month but that was only for 4 months till I the court date to get the ticket faulting me for a accident was thrown out and the accident changed to a "no fault" accident(I was refunded all the extra $200 I paid also,no damage to my KJ).

I started out at age 12('90) paying $54 every months for $0/$0 insurance(farm use only) and today I pay $64 a month for $500/$500 with alot of special insurance coverage for specific parts/mods of my KJ.

About $850 a year ($70 a month), $1000 deductible, and multicar discounts, with homeowners Also getting accident free and good driver for the last 10 years.

Remember when you buy insurance your gambling. Your betting that you are going to have an accident that will result in a claim for more than the premiums you pay. The insurance company is betting you wont and they will get to pocket the difference.

If your looking to lower your rate consider going with a higher deductible. If you can afford to keep a grand in your savings account to cover the deductible, you really benefit in two ways;
First you won't bother claiming anything under $1000, just fix it yourself which means you'll have fewer claims and keep your rates low
Second, you save on comprehensive and collision maybe as much as a couple of hundred a year over a 500 deductable and a lot more if you have no deductible.

If the insurance company's cards are better than yours (no accidents), you have lost less in premiums.

??? LOL... Guess you need to start walking. Other than the original poster, the highest paid per month for one car is $70.00 of the people who have posted so far. The lowest is $42.00 and the highest being paid is $70.00. You're the next highest at $64.00....

darn.. I just renewed mine with Allstate for $1004.50 for six months, so that is $167.41 a month, cheapest I've paid my whole life, lol, with that being said I'm 23, one accident, no tickets, and I live in NYC.. and that's only for the car, no renter/home/life etc..

*I do have full everything, pretty much maxed out, full glass included.

Out of that $64 only $40 is actually for my KJ,$7 is for my paint job alone(separately insured),$3 is for my tools in the KJ(separately insured),$4 for my tools at work(separately insured),and the last $10 is renters insurance.I can drop the extra's at anytime and pay only $40 per month.

with all the extras added to mine and 500 deductable its under 410 a year full coverage and thats with house insurance included

I can remember when I bought a 67 Vette in 75 ( yes 427, 4 speed) and thought 1100 a year insurance on it was rediculous!!!

But then most of you could be one of my kids or grandkids so with paying insurance for the last 40 years with no accidents in the last 25 it helps

Lowest

Not counting those that reported it as mulitcar rates. I pay about $1300 annually for 3 vehicles or about $108 a month, $36 each. I have a 09 VW bug and a 99 Ranger pickup.

The KJ is the most expensive vehicle I have to ensure. I'm going to have to call my State Farm agent and find out why that is.

The jeep is 67.00 a month. My 17 year old sons is 75.00 a month for a 93 4x4 ford ranger no tickets or wrecks and it's paid for so it's only liability insurance.

Mine is $55.00 a month with Erie insurance. I have 100/300k liabilty and $500 deductable colision $100 deductable compensive and uninsured/under-insured coverage. 10k first party medical and 5K funeral benifits.
I also have my Homeowners insurance there and get a multi policy discount. I have no tickets other than one for failure to obey traffic control devices and not wearing a seatbelt which carrys no points on your driving record in PA, so there is no surcharge for that. I have no accidents that are my fault in over 10 years.

I am 35 and single so I think I don't pay that much now. my 2003 Outback was only $5 less.

I know I paid more than I do now for just liability when I was younger and drove cars I paid cash for. I did get some of a break after I trurned 25 and started only getting a ticket once every 3 or 4 years.

I'm 18, had 2 cars, no accidents, no tickets...and had to take a defensive driving course, CDL course for dad's company (I don't have a CDL licence, its like a slip of paper that says I can drive one, but i gotta be 21 to get it) and a correvette driving thingy, and they all lowered my rates.

so now, with my Jeep, i have to only pay $275 ever 6 months, $500 deduct

think its nationwide

mine is 120 a month for full coverage with Progressive. im up for a renewal soon, last renewal it went down 25 bucks. i have had 3 speeding tickets, no accidents that were my fault or that my insurance had to deal with. and my last ticket was over 3 years ago. so it should be going down again soon. plus ill be turning 25 in about a year and a half, so it will go down even more then.

Wow....it finally pays to be old (59). My wife and I pay a total of $100 a month for the following cars with $500,000 liability and $1,000 deductible on collision for the first two and $0 deductible on the last two. All have full glass coverage with 0 deductible:

-2000 Chrysler 300M
-2005 KJ
-2001 Mustang GT Bullitt
-1974 TVR 2500M

It also helps that I haven't had an accident since 1980 (knock on wood), or a speeding/ticket since 1986.

Bruce
