About $1000 annually for two Jeeps, $500 deductible, Jeeps garaged, and dirt looks at me and says "hi grandad" (older than dirt iow).
But this is in Massachusetts, although it could be worse... it could be New Jersey!

Well this insurance forum makes me really think canada is a bring cash country when it comes to insurance and online shopping. I am 26 no accidents and one ticket and my insurance is $147/month and today just filled up the libby at a nice $1.05 per a liter. Welcome to canada eh!

I believe a good amount of your insurance is based on where you live. I've always lived in the country or small towns. I had accidents that were my fault when I was 16, and I bought a Z28 when I was 20 and never paid more than $600 for 6 months. By the time I was 25 I'm pretty sure it was like $350 / 6.

If you've never had a claim with the company you're with to see how they perform, I'd shop around a bit. If I ever move out of Indiana I'll be looking for another place like Indiana Farm Bureau for sure. Basically its like a Co-Op / credit union type of thing. Created by members for members, not made by fatcats for their prey...

I feel like I'm paying so much now.
I have no tickets, no accidents, drive a safe vehicle, took the drivers education class. 3.0 gpa discount, some discount for my mom and dad having USAA, and a couple others.

But I still pay wayyy too much.

We switched from Allstate to AARP (Hartford) and our premium dropped over $900 per year and has gone down, again, since then. Now, $57 a month for full coverage on the KJ and basic (liability and uninsured motorist) on the Baja Bug.

When the wife and I were first married, our car was often parked because the insurance premiums were higher than the payments on the car loan. We had a '73 Charger with a built 440. Between the premiums and the price of gas (it had just hit $1 a gallon) the Charger was parked quite a bit. We used our motorcycle instead. Oh, to be young again.

You went to a racing school, and took the CDL course? That lowers rates?

I am 37 almost 38 in couple months, wife is 42, no accidents no tickets ever for both of us, knock on wood! 2004 Montana mini van and my 2007 Liberty both carry full coverage even though I have them both paid for $500 deductable on both and paying a tick over $600 for 6 months. I guess I need to shop around for some better rates from what I am seeing!

I think I'm doing alright with my insurance. Three vehicles totalled in the last 7 years and we only pay $150 a month for my Jeep and my wife's Mustang (though the Jeep is only a little more than a third of the total). That's with a discount for our homeowners policy.

I'd suggest getting a few quotes. Make sure you're comparing relatively equal coverage and deductables. There are a lot of coverages they can skimp on or add to manipulate the price.

Mine runs $56.00 per month for two Jeeps....one with full coverage and one with liability only. Policy is with Central Insurance Co through a local agent.
