Just got back from 2 week trip. Drove the jeep home from the airport - just posted some pictures from SEMA Show in the general discussion section

Got snow tires last week, spent 3 hours this morning (3am) surfing on Jeep stuff, re-attached the rear lower door seal, gave it a $2 bath, got wiperblades bigger than stock(19&20), now going to 2track with a friend and kids!

I installed my Line-x costed Super SLiders today. Took me longer to do that I thought, got rather frustrated with the install and hope I never have to take them off. Holy crap that was a pain in the butt.

I might think about some pics for everyone.

They are so fun  Just look at it this way, at least you don't have to drill 7 holes per side through the pinch weld to install them

I don't think fun is the proper word for it. And quite glad all I had to drill was in the unibody rails and not in the pinch weld for the rocker.
Should also mention that I got UV protection on the Line-X thats why they look a little shiney.
Anyway some photos for all to see.

Had the materials for a week and got around to extending my breather lines today. Also used a piece of webbing strap to make a stopper thing for the arm rest, never really liked how you just fling the thing back and it went back pretty far. Now it goes back past vertical just enough and stops. Then packed away some things in it that I have been meaning to, tools etc.

Att. Wingnuts - since you have basically tied your whole frame together - have you noticed any difference in the way you Libby handles.

no...why? Its not like these are a new thing, have others noticed this.

Oh yeah I also noticed something else while I was laying under my Jeep on Sat. The front CVs are actually angled up at the wheels at stock height, I guess this is why a 4" lift doesn't put them at such an angle compared to the KJs.

:D yep, you can improve your CV angles with a lift....

Tool, the rock rails help to lower the CG of the KK. But unless you get some serious weight or a big lift like mine, you won't notice it as easily...

To those witht eh Super Sliders.

Do you feel the Foot rail is wide enough for work boots and dress shoes?

I am saving up for this mod, but want to make sure it will do what the wife wants.

Yes, however I don't use my rails to get in. I mainly use my rails to get out so as to keep the bask of my leg from getting wet or dirty...

Digger must confess his sins! I would like to say sorry for not being faithful to L.O.S.T..... I have been seeing another forum of the TDI kind

I have now wasted 2 days of my life on a VW forum... and all I have to show for it is this,

1. They have skid plates available for MKV Jettas,
2. There is a 1 and 2 inch lift kit out there for MKIV Jettas,
3. It is going to cost $40 bucks just for 4 liters of oil for the engine. Also included in a oil change is a new filter and a NEW DRAIN PLUG.... WTF is up with that
4. And last, if you place the key in the door lock and hold it to the lock or unlock, it will either roll up all of the windows or roll them down for you..... :? and why didn't chryco do this??

I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me

:-)r :-)r :-)r :-)r :-)r :-)r :-)r :-)r

But really, haven't driven the KK in a few days.........

i think you and your KK need to spend some quality time together... maybe a few hours at a trail for the beginning at your date, some gas to feed her ( go with premium you can't be cheap ya know), and to finish off the day you can bath her

PhotograJeep,
Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but there are a couple of pics from underneath I took immediately after bolting them on.

If you need a full underneath photo hopefully someone else can provide or I'll take another photo the next time I have her raised up.
