While checking oil yesterday notice some a film of what looked like oil residue in and around the turbo area and hoses. Didn't have time to look real close at it. Checked the air filter also and it looked a lot blacker the usual(like it also had some oil residue on it instead of being just dirty). Will take a closer look tonight but was just wondering if this can be normal(haven't noticed it b/4) or is there something else i should be looking for? Thanks

Recently at a work day another member (KJ 119) noticed that I did not have any residue around mine. He said every other KJ CRD he had seen had oil res around the turbo till he saw mine. When we talked about it, the only difference we could identify was that I always do a turbo cool-down before shutting off. Maybe snap a pic or two and post them up.

Do you have an EHM? Unless your turbo is leaking oil, the likely culprit is blowby from the CCV ending up in your hoses and sweating out of them.

I'm pretty sure this is my case. I have caked oil all over the ccv and the hoses.
