Got rear ended tonight by a Chevy Trailblazer.

Me and my 2 year old were in the car, we're both fine. Got hit at a stoplight while stopped, lady wasn't paying attention and got me at about 20-25 MPH.

No pics of the Chevy but it was much worse off than the Liberty; bumper fell off, all front lights broken, hood bent in half, radiator totally smashed.

I think the Jeep held up well and my 2" lift saved me from some more damage. I wish I had a tow hitch, might not have got the resonator all bent up.

Bummer. Like you said your damage doesn't look half as bad as how you described the chevy.
Digger are you keeping score of this sort of thing.
I think it is KK 3 - others 0 or something like that

I have to lift mine soon just in case I get rear ended too :). Good excuse to help convince the wife :).

glad everyone is ok..
The KJ/KK's seem to hold up well.
I too believe the lift helps. I'll back that argument.

Good luck with repairs.

Ouch. Glad everyone is alright. Hey look on the bright side, lately everyone that's been getting into fender benders gets new and unique parts added to their liberty. For instance that nice little lower grill piece that someone around here is sporting :P

I know it is 3-0 KK vs GM's
and 2-0 KK vs other. I know one was a mini van, but I don't remember what the other one was......

Upon daylight inspection, I noticed the resonator got pushed into the shock and bent that too, I might have to buy some better shocks and let the shop slip those in :)

I say that everything that you have to get replaced, you upgrade it. Shocks and bumper. You could do custom all metal bumper. Try getting hit then.

Not bad..... Besides the bumper skin and door, are they going to replace any thing else?

ive been rear ended twice in m KK first time was a 5 car accident due to a girl in college who wasnt paying attention and hit cars that were stopped... mine being the last... just a few scratches but the woman that actually hit me, her entire hood was bunched up. the second time was a suburban that hit me while i was stopped after losing control in the snow, again minimal damage this time a cracked bumper, but thats it, the suburban has broken lights and a nasty cracked grill haha... finally my last accident, again not my fault was due to a kid in a scion TC thought he could make a turn in front of me n took it too sharp hit the front wheel well/ corner of my bumper... i had 500 dollars in damage, he had 3800 lol, just more scratched on that one... lol so its 3-0 liberty for me and none have been my fault(knock on wood), and no one has had any injuries thankfully

Something under the bumper skin broke, tail light has a tiny chip out of the corner, so tail light, tail pipe from muffler back, and the passenger side rear shock.

Lifted and a hitch ( with receiver in) helps a lot,
been rear ended 4 times now, all with me sitting dead stopped in traffic! All but 1 had to be towed away. Damage to mine, rear door has a very slight ding in it, spare tire has had the dirt taken off the bottom everytime though!
So far not bad enough for a rear Rock Lizard bumper though

The KJs/KKs hold up great!

ZOMG! I just came up with something great. Something extraordinary. (after reading all these posts)...

A tow hitch cover that says "Rear-end THIS" (in big huge letters). Now, the shape of the cover would be up for a good poll.

And wouldn't you know... one day after making that post.... I get rear-ended.

But as you will see in that thread, my hitch (w/shackle in) saved me easily. Annnnnnnnd obliterated the car behind me. :)
