For the OP, the Destination AT is just what the doctor ordered.

I wish the Dura Tracs came in a 235/65/17 or 70...

The Destination A/T were the worst tire I ever put on a vehicle. At one point I was afraid to drive with them on becasue they hadled so poorly in the snow. The only tire I will ever own from this day forward is a Nokian Vatiiva or WR series.

BFG AT's at a minimum.

Most of those tires look like they belong on a work van.

i completely agree.. they all look like mini van tires except the BFG AT's and GoodYear Dura-Tracs

Please understand that silverfox is not looking for an off-road tire, rather she is “looking to replace the Goodyear Wranglers on '08 Liberty.” And, she wants “a tire that is rugged looking, good in rain/snow, and quiet.” Based on these recommendations, the tire(s) presented thus far have been appropriate.

im going to change my mind. i vote for TOYO OPEN COUNTRY AT. zero road noice, perfect handling on road, and superv performance on rain. its good in gravel, i tryed in deep sand and it did well, can handle rocks but i would recomend for that casue thin side layer. i havent try it in snow. if you are more orientated to drive highway/city, try them in Pmetric sizes. more confortable than LT. i guarantee that you wont be dissapointed.

Do your homework and don't get taken advantage of. Take into consideration how many miles you put on your Jeep annually, How much you drive in the winter, many passengers or just 2?

How to read a sidewall. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=33

Tire grading system. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=48

You probably will buy locally but there is lots of great information including reviews. http://www.tirerack.com/index.jsp
