So new alt & battery and what? - now the light just stays on? - or are all systems still dying?

If not cables, I would have to think maybe a computer issue?

maybe you have to remove the error code from the computer?
(like the engine check light)

So where are you at with this?

Just curious, did you check both ends of each cable? What about the Alt / gen decoupler pulley, and or drive belt?? Are all fuses in the module box tight and or good?

You never did say wether you were getting a code?

Jayme, you might need someone (dealer?) to run a test using a Midtronics Battery & Charging System Tester.

General question to anyone who knows - Does the '02 KJ 3.7 have a battery temp sensor in the bottom of the battery tray?

Sounds like you bounced that old battery around a little too much....you haven't been off road have you?
What kind of battery did you replace it with? My stock battery developed a dead cell after 27,000 and I replaced it with an Optima RedTop...supposed to be bullet proof...we'll see.

FIXED!!! :D

Wire off the fuse box that the battery acid ate thru was the culprit. Aaron soldered it back together, and then used some sort of liquid tape to seal it. I just got back from a trip around town, and everything is working fine... no battery warning light.

:D Nice work. Glad to hear this. It would have been bad had you not found a fix before tomorrow.
