Simple but lets me add more underneath as the raised band got in the way. And when flipped over so that the plastic band was on the top made the cargo area hard to use.
Now how to finish it??

Yeah now i can fit more than my work gloves under there!

I wonder once I remove my spare tire and put it on the roof rack if I can capture that space on the inside. Now that would be lots of extra space.

Oh I almost forgot I "washed" the jeep today. You know I plugged in the airblower and blow off the loose dirt......

Tell me about it. You can't even fit a come-a-long under there. I have a small set of wrenches and a rag, and it fills the whole thing.
I got to do what you did. Simple, but effective.

What thickness Ply did you go with? Any bowing with weight on it?

3/4" plywood. Have not put any weight on it but it would take a lot of weight to start to see this bow as the shortest span is not more than like 2'-0".
I am not sure but I think I am going to paint it light grey. I think a thin carpet is asking for more fuss later down the road.

E2 i would wrap it in the carpet to match... if not i would do something like Line x or rubber so its durable

I did the exact same thing as you E2

except I was lasy and I cut the 2 plastic rings. now I have 2x more room there

Now that I like! Sounds like next weekend's project to me!

Here's what I did today:

Installed new Uniden Pro 510XL CB, and a Uniden BearTracker 800 BCT7. Now I just need antennas.
