So the failure was caused by the UCA contacting the spring?

So, the spring hitting the UCA did all that? :shock:

Seems like there may have been more wrong with that design than just the contact between spring and UCA.

That looked downright dangerous. :?

You have no idea how bad the sound was :shock:

Now for me not to make scene....


The primary cause was the UCA hitting the coil which set off a chain reaction. However the primary cause of failure was due to a bad batch of strut bushing which the lead to the rubbing on the strut plate and finally the failure of the driver side unit.

Yes, it was a design issue- However it was because the limits of the lift were unknown. Marlin designed this lift off of a KJ front end which we now know is different from the KJ. The front end of the KK allows for more travel/flex then the KJ lift does because of the CV's...........

so will the current skyjacker 2.5" have this issue if I get the gen 5.5 arms?

On a side note, he has 2 sets of UCA's in stock......
