Gas was below $1.30 in the last ten years (around 1999). When I started driving in 1991 gas was $0.90 to 1.00 and cigarettes were about the same. $20 bucks got me a carton and a tank. Fast forward 18 years and gas has tripled and smokes have gone up 5x. Meanwhile minimum wage is about 75% higher than it was then (I think). Not exactly sure what it is these days, but then it was $4.25 and $3.35 for a small business.

The lowest I've ever personally paid for gas was $0.78 at a particularly cheap station when gas was in a down swing. Gosh, imagine if my typical fillup was $14 instead of $50.... :cry:

yep, got both. We have a nubian dairy goat that is pregnant and we have Netherland Dwarf, Holland lops, and Flemish Giant rabbits for 4H also. We also have 3 dogs and maybe fostering another one soon. Hey, we downsized, had 25 rabbits back in summer, down to 8, and I got rid of the horse in Nov.

LONG LONG LONG time ago, jeez I must be old? :shock:

The year was 1982 for that picture, bunch of my buddies and I escaped the winter in Ohio, loaded up the vans with home made wine, special brownies, trailers loaded with Harleys, and went to Bike Week in Daytona Beach first week in March, then on down to Key West, we were all on unemployment so we had fun! :lol:

I got my first divorce in September of that year, mmm may of been that trip :shock:

I did pump a lot of gas after high school for 32 to 37 cents!! Good oil was 76 cents plus tax a quart. Spark plugs were 35 to 50 cents each

Bunch of work for sure, no matter if 8 bunnies or 25, used to run 75/80 head of Black Angus, 4 to 6 horses, numerous barn cats and dogs , never could go anywhere for very long esp. in the winter. Of course this was back in the day when you had a barn for cattle to get into in the winter, anymore farmers just let them outside all the time. Miss it at times, other times not so much. Working full time and running a farm was no fun.
A neighbor had lots of goats for a while but they escaped faster then what he could catch them :wink:
