Most football fans admire what the Saints went through after Katrina.

They're not yet America's Team but IF (and I hope when) the Saints make it to this years Super Bowl - I'm thinking they're going to be the fan favorite - Making them America's Team during the Super Bowl. Let's face it, most NFL football fans don't want to see Indy win another SB. Of course both these teams will have to make it to the Super Bowl.

x2. I've been a Saints fan as long as I've been an NFL fan, and have watched, heartbroken, as defeat has been snatched from the jaws of victory time after time. I could care less if they go undefeated or not, or if they become "America's Team," but I want them to win a Super Bowl so bad. . . they're the only team from the 1967 expansion to have not yet even appeared in a Super Bowl. 42 years is a long time.

And for the Buddy D thing: it pissed me off to see on Sunday Night Football's "Great Moments in Tailgating History" that they gave credit to some random Tampa Bay fan. They said he was about to be interviewed by a TV reporter with a camera while leaving the stadium after a loss, and he put a bag over his head since he told his wife he was somewhere else. No mention of Buddy D, no mention of the years of ignominity of being an 'Aints fan, nothing.

Just more fuel for the fire. . .

Bengals lost Wide receiver Chris Henry this morning... for good. He apparently got into a fight with his fiance', she got in truck to drive off, he hopped in back, then fell out sustaining life ending injuries. He had soooo much talent, but couldn't get a handle on his personal life. He leaves his fiance' and 3 children all with her.

He was a local Luziana boy.Can't remember if it was Belle Chase,or Westwego.

Definitely too soon. He died here in my hometown of Charlotte. So very funny that a guy got killed?... Pretty lame and messed up sense of humor guys.

Hate all you want, the ROAD TO THE SUPER BOWL GOES DOWN POYDRAS ST IN NEW ORLEANS!!! Woot woot!!

Nahhh, I would have loved the Saints to go undefeated, but I was pretty sure they had a loss in them. I just hope they beat Carolina on Sunday and don't end the season on a three-game skid.

There will always be humor in strange deaths. If someone's thug life gives them such a sense of machismo that their yittle ego could not allow their baby mamma to drive away from them, denying them the chance to harm her or at least get the last word in, and they jumped into the back of a moving pick-up, beating on the windows and standing up while trying to get to said baby mamma, causing them to fall out and die, well, yeah, there is some humor there. All he had to do was 1.) stay out of the truck or 2.) barring the self-control to act like a civilized human, sit down until she eventually stopped and act like an sub-human then. Either way, some common human decency on his part would have allowed him to be free to thug it up right now.

It most be rough to have to mourn every death in the greater Charlotte area on a personal level. The floral bill alone must be huge... :mrgreen:

You're ridiculous. Regardless of the fact he died from falling from his truck, he is dead. He is no longer here and how you're talking bad about him and amusing your little life shows that you are less of a civilized human than he was. I'm not in deep morning but pay the guy some respect. The man was raising 3 kids and you joke about it. Don't you dare say that HE needs some common decency.

Man, what a depressin weekend for Cinci... at least OSU won their bowl game. I knew UC couldn't hang with Florida, but daaanngggg!!! They got hosed!!! The Bengals won't make it passed first round of playoffs, I think they get the Jets next week again.....or was it a ploy this weekend??? :roll:

And on henry, I had heard reports that he was threatening his girlfriend to stop the truck or he was going to jump, guess we'll never know exactly what happened. Sad though, with all his troubles in his life, he was making attempt to turn it around the last year and become a respectable person/father.
