Ever since the forum upgrade, I could never log in with my user name! I've been on this board since 2005 and for some reson I cannot log in. It's dead I guess. :dead: So...at least for now I'm here under a different screen name. Maybe Admin will finally stumble upon my e-mails and fix me.

Anyway, I bought my CRD May 2005 I think and I ended up selling it a year or so later. I wish I hadn't. But I'm seriously considering buying another CRD this week that has 72,500 miles on it. It appears to have been kept bone stock the entire time. What are the first things I should do to it? Should I clean the intercooler? What is the easiest thing to clean it with? Any other things I should do right away?

Hey I see you've got that discriminatory newbie tag again.
I would put some biodiesel in that CRD and listen to her purr.........
Don't get carried away maybe start with B20.

X3 here too :?:

EDIT In addition to needing to login every session I had to relogin to post this :?:

When logging in I've checked the "remember me" box too. I also can't find out how to post a private message to dgeist as mentioned in another thread about login problems :dizzy:

Try resetting your browser. Erase cookies, etc. Also, make sure that you come to the forum via lostjeeps.com, not lostkjs.com... google search for "lost jeeps forum" and click on the one with the lostjeeps.com url. I had issues staying logged in until I realized that my bookmark was taking me to the old url.

First thing is to put a EHM on it, and clean the boost sensor, and have ALL the fluids changed, if the transmission has never been flushed, it may be hard to do, the pan will probably have to be dropped and a new filter put into it. Check the brakes, flush the brake fluid etc.

I never realized the darn name had changed! That's probably the problem! :banghead:

Wow. I don't read the forum for a day and a half and all h3%& breaks loose for the CRD logins :)

Seriously, is everyone straightened out? I think the only remaining problem is folks that type "http://lostjeeps.com" in their browsers (sans www) still get forwarded to the old www.lostkjs.com address (whereas http://www.lostjeeps.com works properly).

Dan

I don't think I am. The older I get, I seem to get comptuer stupider.

I go to lostjeeps.com, click forum, login, then it seems to redirect me back to lostkjs forums? Can you break it down potatoe head style for me?

An easier way would be to go to http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3 and log in - when you log in you can check the 'automatically log me in each visit' option so you don't have to do it every time unless you're on a shared computer in which case you might not want that to happen. By going to the /phpBB3 site you would be logging in to the current forum and everything should work properly.
