Looking at a 2005 CRD Liberty with 71K. after a short test drive i checked the blow by and was shocked at the amount of "gas" being expelled. If my LB7 Duramax was doing that I would have serious concerns.
I have attached a link to a short video of the blow by any feedback would be greatly appreciated
Thank you,

It depends on if it smelled like exhaust... It might not have been blow-by at all and was just normal oil vapor. There's a reason many of us have CCV filters :) The ratio of displacement to overall vapor expansion capacity is probably greater in the little inline 4 than you're used to on your duramax. Ultimately, a compression test or just smelling the fumes will tell you more than my speculation, though.

That looks completly normal to me. We have a crank case ventilation that you can attach a hose to and run into a catch container instead of sending all those vapors back throuth the turbo charger like they are from the factory. I have run mine into a catch can for about 100k and no problems I just have to change the paper towels about every other month after they get completly soaked with oil. Much better than sending it back through the turbo.

Thanks for the replies,
My wife and I went ahead with the purchase. This looks like a great site with loads of info. look forward to doing the "ProVent" or the crank case ventilation system.

Mine looks the same, I was wondering the same because my 7.3L ford has almost none and if it did I guess it's no good!

Your Duramax is a V8 with more overlap between power strokes. As you can see the CRD blows it out and sucks it back in with the oil fill cap off. I would not worry about it.
