So I just recently joined the forum after buying myself a 03 Renegade for Christmas. Truth is I had been looking for a long time and just happened to find what I wanted right before Christmas. Anyway it has an ARB Bull bar bumper and it seem to have a spacer lift in the front that has served its time, looks to be stock springs and struts at 93000 miles. I am looking to do a full replacement of all springs, struts, and shocks all the way around with OME products.
My question is do I go with medium or HD springs? I do not know when or if I will be getting a winch any time soon but I may put a high lift jack up front on the bumper. I also plan to add a cargo rack and move my spare to the rack to make a hitch mounted cargo rack easier to hall things on with out extending it out beyond the spare and give me a little extra cargo room up top.
Thanks in advance for any info or past experiences that may help me make the right decision.
also I apologize if this info is already out there some place I have had a little trouble with the forum search functions.

Welcome to the forum. I'm presently changing my whole suspension with OME all around. I just installed my front suspension yesterday (will install the rear tonight) and I strongly advise you to go with the OME 790 HD springs for the front. They seem stiff but you need it. The medium will sag pretty fast.

Conflicting information from the previous post but after messing around with a "few" OME lifts

If it has an ARB and you are not installing a winch or anything for a long while 927s will do great!
I just removed my OME /Rancho lift after over 100,000 miles and the ARB was on there all but 3000 , the lift is good enough to go on another one.
I installed 790s now but not sure that I am staying with them like the 927s better really to be truthful!
If you are going with a winch, steel line etc right away many have found that going with 790s does great. You will have to think how long it maybe or if you are even going to install a winch.
I can't beleve that a spacer lift and stock springs lasted that long

Mediums may sag yes but Heavy Duty's work great as well like I said Do go with Heavy Duty in the rear

Thanks for the input guys, one thing I forgot to ask about was if the JBA uppers, are they necesary for the OME upgrade? I am not planning on doing a lot of serious off-roading but do plan to do a little every once in a while.

I don't see a winch in my near future so I think I am going to go 927's. I am getting new General Grabber AT2s put on Friday and hope to get a little fun money from Uncle Sam after taxes are done to get the OME stuff.

thanks again

they aren't necessary, but they aren't generally a bad idea either, they correct the uca balljoint angle helping get your vehicle back into stock specs for alignment and what not also provide a greasable ball joint (very good) and the corrected ball joint angle helps reduce wear

however that being said, there are several on the forum who do operate with the stock UCA's with great results both on and offroad

as with any major component you need to check them regularly and replace or service when necessary

i think that's the best i can do to answer your question and avoid the whole jba vs stock vs rro uca argument

there's lots and lot's of threads on the board with discussion of the UCA's as they are a big topic of concern

I ran lifted for over 75000 miles on the stock arms and no problems, they were still good when I took them off.
