I want to add more to my jeep but i dont know what. I was thinking a budget boost but am not familiar with any lifts or anything. Was also thinking about spacers, but do will i need new struts/springs? Mechanic said 3 weeks ago that the suspension and all that was fine. Anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe one of these? http://www.detoursusa.com./kjbackbone.php
Whats the highest rated lb winch you can put on that?

If you wheel (I'm assuming so, since you are looking at a winch), the first thing I would recommend is recovery pints and armor (skid plates and rock rails).

After that look for a lift and tires. Your suspension may be working correctly, but after 8 years it is sagging severely by now. A Budget boost (e.g. spacer lift) will net you 2.5" of lift but spending just a few hundred more will probably get you about 3.5-4" over where you sit now. If you do go with a spacer lift do not get an OTT lift, stick with a daystar style lift that goes in between the shock and coil.

The Detours is a good system and you should be able to fit any normal sized winch on it. Make sure you get at least an 8,000 lb one though due to the weight of the KJ.

After you decide what you are going to do first, let us know and we can make recommendations for brands or manufacturers.

If money is tight...maybe finish getting all the skids. Then get some new OME springs, and Rancho shocks. :2cents: :JEEPIN:

Well I told the mechanic it may need new struts and all that but he said it was fine. It is possible that he replaced the stock components to the suspension once before. I have a front engine skid and possibly one other one. I have front and rear tow hooks.

You have hooks, so get all the skids you are missing first. Then you will have full protection.

Just my :2cents: ....
