hello, i was trying to decide between the 3.5' rockkrawler, budget lift, and the rockfather. i have read that if you get a lift kit that is higher than three inches it can ruin your axles very quickly...is this true? has anyone had any problems with it? i have also read that rocky road outfitters takes forever and has bad customer service online. it might be a really stupid question but is there any other place to order the rockfather kit? any help is appreciated.

the only bad part is that i don't have 1000 dollars to spend on a lift. :(
that's why i was looking at one of the cheaper ones. i really wish i could get the frankenlift though.

Then buy things one at a time
http://www.Boulderbars.com
http://www.JeepinbyAl.com
http://www.OK4WD.com
can all order OME springs 927 in the front 948s for the rear
JeepinbyAl could still get Rancho shocks up until recently contact him to see if he still has some, RSX 17505 for the front, RSX 17004 for the rear
Teraflex bumpstops are available from him or directly from http://www.teraflex.com
rear bumpstops are easy 2 hockey pucks per side

Oh and all of ythis info has been posted many times before in case you want to review

listen to tommudd... if you want more height add some conduit nuts to the front (between clevis and bottom of strut.. get them from LOWES).. and add 2 upper rear isolators in the rear (get those from the dealer or online.. about 12 bucks a piece).

and yes.. 3.5 inches is boarder line needing axles. mine is about 3.5in of lift and works great... but any higher i'd need to replace the axles.

OME 927s by themselves or a Frankenlift ( same springs) is WAY BETTER than stock ride, better handling, control etc you'll wonder why it didn't come from the factory that way!!! :SOMBRERO:

Trust the many of us who run the above setups...wait until you can go do it the right way, I'm glad I did!

I'll Back Tom on this one, i went with OME springs and Rancho shocks all around and I love it....wish the rear sat a little higher but hey maybe when I get my bumper they'll sit closer to the same. Frankenlift is worth it's weight in gold, not to hard to install. I bought mine from Rock Lizard their a great group of guys too  I'll post their link below.
