Have you noticed any difference/change in the ride between these new coilovers and what came with the original JBA 2.5 and 4" lifts? I know I want to go bigger in the future and this looks like a good first step in doing that because I could set the height to 2.5" now and then when I re-do the springs/shocks in the back, I can easily dial these up to match. Also it looked like Marlin was saying these will also increase your front-end articulation as well?
I know answers to these questions could cause pain in my wallet!
They look nice on the jeep!
The ride is much better than the V1.0 lift because of the progressive coils and because of the shocks used. By using these new parts, it get rid of the trucky feeling you now have because the front coils are softer acting when light loads are applied but become harder when heaver loads are applied.
The way the new system works for the front is it uses the same coil and shock up front for all 3 lifts (2.5", 4", 6").
For the 2.5" lift, he has created custom clevis that are shorter. So when you are ready for the 4.0 lift, all you have to do is buy the bottom shock bushing and reuse your factory clevis. and then with the 6.0, I think all you have to buy again is the bushing for the bottom of the shock. Now you will have to do a few more things to get 6" out of the front and rear, be we will leave that for later.
Any because of the smaller diameter coils, it will increase the total droop because it will allow for more movement of the UCA.
