Hey all,
When I bought my KJ(2003 Sport) the dealership shorted me a jack. Needless to say I was angry but wasn't much I could do about it considering I didn't notice for 3 months after purchase; and now I am in a different state.
I bought a good bottle jack a few months ago and yesterday it finally happened, I got my first flat on my front drivers side..
THE PROBLEM: When I bought my Jack I got one built for a taller truck (thinking I was going to have a lift done soon). SO, the Jack was too tall to put under the frame or chasis, it did however fit under where the LCA meets the chasis. Yes... the swing joint. So.. very carefully I jacked up my truck right there on the LCA-Chasis joint and it was scary. I was afraid the LCA would drop causing the Jack to slip out from the joint moving. I was also afraid the jack would pop out and hit me or something else terrible like it failing while the wheel was removed. But I didn't have much of a choice... so I did it and with the help of God everything turned out alright.
Then I realized I didnt know where a good jack point is for a Liberty if I get a Front Flat. I dont have an owners manual. Where are good Jack points for flats?
