Just recently had my alignment done at a local shop after installing my new control arms. I drove it around for a good day or so and all of the sudden after taking a u turn, my wheel stayed crooked. Seems as though the bolts holding the steering rack to the frame are a little loose. I had this same problem when I had the alignment after i installed the powersteering rack. I know for a fact that when took the vehicle into the shop, those bolts were as tight as I could get them. I tightened them just recently when the wheel was having some slipping issues. When I tightened them, the wheel was crooked and could not seem to get it straight by myself. Does it require to loosen the rack while doing an alignment to get the steering wheel aligned right? I dont see why I continue to have this problem :banghead: :banghead: . Can I align it back up myself without having to take it back into a shop? :frankie:

Oh, also replaced steering rack insulator bushings during rack replacement, so everything is fresh

Take it back to the alignment shop ASAP and have them fix it before you drift off of the road.

You do not have to loosen the steering rack to do an alignment

Is there any way to tighten it back up with having the steering wheel back to straight? There is no way I have to take it back into a shop for the UN-TeenTH time for these stoopid alignment issues. Evertime I do something to the suspension, the rack, or the control arms, I have had to get an alignment and pretty much have had the tires rotated. I have had 5 alignments in less than a year and it aint been a week since the last :banghead: :furious: . Also, when I brought it in for the alignment, the steering wheel was already cocked at an angle from having to have tightened the bolts without being able to get the wheel back to straight. So I figured to correct that issue, the shop might have had to losen the rack back up to set it straight?

FOR PETES SAKE :dizzy:
