I'm hearing a noise that sounds like a quick sharp ribbing sound ( sorry I can't desctibe it better) when I back up and turn to the left like to back out of my driveway or a parking space. I also head it once today when breaking hard. it sounds like its comming from the right front tire/wheel. I went to an empty parking lot and tried to duplicate the same situation and can't get it to happen. any ideas?

kinda like your jeep cut the cheese?

check the fender liner for areas where the tire may be rubbing, particularly on the inside edge of the fender liner in the front, and the pinch weld area behind the face of the tire tread to the rear of the tire

areas where it rubs will typically become feathered or glossy
