Hey guys, I know what you are all probably thinking as you look at the title and know that im not doing a SAS to my jeep. But I looked at these sizes and I was wondering what all your thoughts are on here...Ive been thinking about getting new tires lately and I saw the size 33x9.5x15 and it actually seems like they would work...even though its 33's, if I have enough lift I could fit them, it would be a tight fit but I think could possibly work. The other thing that could possibly make it work is they are 9.5, OH on a side note: I am getting some ravine wheels with some 1.25" spacer so they fit over the calipers, so with that in mind, since those tires are only 9.5" they really arent that wide so they would fit really easy. Now the next thing is the weight, usually 33x12.5x15's weigh anywhere from 75+lbs, but these only weigh ~42lbs so with re-gearing I probably wouldnt have to bc they arent really heavy. I also saw 32x9.5x15 and they also seemed like they could work.

Now with these 2 sizes the 33x9.5x15 only come in BFG AT's and then there are some BFG MT's going around somewhere. But then the 32x9.5x15 I can only find the Super Swamper TSL's.

Now I talked to Tom the other night and he said the only concern that I might have is with the fenderwell and when I go to flex I will be hitting alot with the 33's.

so with all that, what do you guys think?
Can anyone find other brands with these sizes?

Thanks
:JEEPIN: Ben

The 33x9.50x15s are 32.7 inches tall
265-75-16s are about 31.5 to 32
You're going to have to be at 4 inches of lift at least
then you still are going to be going to have issues I would say
fenderliner etc.
Thats not even getting into no power with that size tire

I am running 32x11.50x15 BFG AT TA KOs on mine. Minimal rubbing at full lock on the front swaybar, but other than that, I just kept cutting the fender liners until it stopped rubbing.

A 235/85/r16 is in the ball park of a 32x9.5, and a few folks run them. I don't know of anyone with the 255/85/16, which is a touch more than 33" x 9.5.

pretty sure the 255/85's would rub things that you couldn't pound with a BFH without spacers

and with spacers they'ed probably rub pretty bad at half stuff from static level because the 255/70's have a tendancy to rub the top half of the pinch weld when stuffed and that's with it pounded

you could maybe avoid that rub with frankII and much clevis but then your cv's are going to dislike you

I wasn't so much recommending them as pointing out that they are used succesfully and the overall diminsions are similar, so comparisons would be valid. Too bad, though, as there are probably 20 tread patterns available in 235/85/16 for each offered in 32x9.5x15.
