Hey guys, I just ordered my Rockfather lift two days ago...and the tracking number says it'll be here soon.....any problems or concerns with this kit? I was going to just get the RRO Combo spacer lift.....but decided I'd go with some springs as well...so the Rockfather came knocking.

I know as I have ordered it already its too late if there is a major issue with it....but I'm just curious.

PS: I'm picking up my Goodyear MTR's 245/75's that I ordered a week ago, tomorrow morning to go with the lift when it gets here....as soon as its all put together I throw some before and after shots of the old '06 Renny.

Thanks for your input guys!

Did you get the Rockfather2 or the Rockfather1? I know a couple people have the Rockfather2, like snowsport and DispatchedKJ, maybe you can ask them. I'm not sure about the Rockfather1.

Rockfather 1....2 was a little pricey....and if I could have afforded that...I would have got the Frankenlift without question. Should be here any day I hope.

Zero,
take some pics of the kit before you install it. I'm sure others would like to see what it looks like.

No problem...I will...I just got my tires Goodyear MTRs today...245's...there stacked and waiting in my Garage :D :!: So as soon as the Rockfather arrives I'll get some pics.....I'll have a whole "before and after" post in the pics section soon.

I'm kinda surprised no one has seen the Rockfather I here??

This is the lift that i was really interested in ordering for my 02 rennie . I liked RRO because of the info they put out front and the many different lift options they have.

I have been researching different lifts yet. Have been reading comments about others on this sight. I am still strongly considering the RF1 lift I like what I see. Waiting till after taxes to see what the budget can handle. :( Can't wait to see the pic's of yours when done. I was thinking of going with same tire size also haven't decided on brand yet.

The Rockfather 2 is very similar to the Frankenlift. The Rockfather 1 uses spacers in the back in order to give you the 2.5" of lift (in order to save money) and I'm not sure how much of a difference that will make for your KJ. I think the best option would have been to wait till you have the money for the Rockfather 2 (or the Frankenlift for that matter.)

I'm looking forward to it as well...I'll definitely have pictures up when its done. I just called RRO because they haven't delivered it yet....they are on back order for the Pre-runner shocks... and was unsure of the waiting time....so I'm still waiting on it. The tires however are ready to go....five Goodyear MTR's 245/75/16's, just stacked up and waiting in my garage!!

As far as saving up for the Frankenlift or RRO RF2....I have bills to pay on the brand new house I just bought in June.....and as far as my pay schedule goes...and calculated with paying my bills, the RRO RF1 was the best choice I could make....especially if I want to be ready for the up coming wheeling season...and the Jeep Jamboree in Bobcaygeon Ontario....I just wouldn't be able to save up in time for anything....so the RRO RF1 it is....and I'm happy I've ordered it......now waiting for back order...I'm a little annoyed by....but hey as long as it gets here before spring.

Not only do i Like the price of the RR1 but I also like the current ride quality of my rig. I want more clearance and a bit stiffer front but don't like the stiffer feel in the back. I think the replacement shocks in back will offer just the right amount of stiffness. This has been my experience with other vehicles and lifts as well.

I have the rockfather stage 2 kit. It was pretty easy to install and the ride is much nicer. I havent taken it offroad yet so I cant comment on how well it works there but I am sure it will be fine. At full drop my ubj does touch the spring as some people have said with other kits but i think most if not all will do that unless you get a new upper arm from al or something like that. Overall I am pleased with the performace though. I also went with them because they were upfront with the problems that can occur with lifts over 3 inches and what not. Anyway, that's my opinion.

I have RF1 and have been very happy with it . Great performace on and off road. pretty easy install. you will need a spring compresser.

I have this kit on my 04. I have had no problems and am very satisfied. After awhile it starts to get a litlte creaky, just spray some silicone spray on the spring pearches and the rear poly spacers every now and then. Be patient if you ordered from Rocky-Road. They are great but slow to ship
