Ok so doing this work in -10 C is not a good idea for plastic parts. Does anybody know if Jeep sells these things seperate? I am running the ORM until I can get the GDE Eco done... Need that clip to work later down the road.

Thanks in advance.

For a temp fix you could try wrapping the plug and the socket with rescue tape, which should hold it for some time. Don't know if the plug assembly is servicable. If its not you might have to try and find one at a wrecker and splice it into the loom in place of the broken one.

Thanks for the reply... I figured the same.

You really don't need that red locking tab, the main release will hold it just fine.

I broke my red tab too!! :banghead: And now the connector will NOT hold itself in place well. I'm afraid the diesel rattle will jar it loose over time.

Who needs the maf sensor I have been running without mine for 3 years and I have not had any problems since. I just get a hard code telling me the egr is closed which is what I want. The maf sensor is in my tool box. We do not have a intake plenum with the diesel engine so it is not needed.

People who don't want a constant CEL, people who have to get their vehicles smog inspected, and people who want to really know when something is wrong with the Jeep....those are the folks who want the MAF plugged up.

If you run b-100 you should be able to pass any smog test. And I have a code reader so I know exactly what is going on with my engine. I am at 125k and I get 30mpg even in the winter running b-20. How did our forefathers get to the west on the sante fe trail with that kind of attitude.

Won't pass any smog test when the first thing they look for is a CEL so they can fail you.

Solution to this is the SEGR; no CEL, should be invisible (or easily unplugged) and codes should report any nonMAF problems.

That is the issue... now it won't stay clipped. Live and learn. If I find a solution I will post it up.
