But think it could be cause of the snow like got on a sensor or something?

Could be because of the snow.

Pull the CEL code's anyway to make sure. You know you can do it yourself, don't need a reader from autozone.

Turn the ignition key until the digital odometer displays, repeat three times in succession and then back to "On" (On/Off, On/Off, On/Off, On). At the fourth "On" the odometer will be replaced with codes. If no codes are present then "Done" will appear.

Easy way too get Codes is to hold down the Odometer button and turn the key too the on position it will do a full guage test followed up by the codes coming across the screen.

Having a similar problem for the last couple of weeks. The '06 is playing dashboard bingo with me every day, with random chiming and various lights blinking on & off for no apparent reason. Tried digger's key/brake trick, and have also taken it to Auto Zone, who said that nothing comes up on a diagnostic check.

The flashes I'm getting are:
1) "GASCAP" on the odo
2) Check engine light
3) TRANS TEMP
4) O/D OFF
5) And every now and then, the tach will bounce to 3500 for a split second.

Happened right after husband washed the Jeep and said that he may have sprayed the hose in the general direction of the gas cap.

Any suggestions?

See if you have water leaking into a fuse box - underhood - or drivers side door.
