Why is there a quote of me saying "Hawks fans can suck it"? I didn't write that!

Seriously, I enjoy watching hockey, and have been a Wings fan since I was a teenager. But since I don't live in a hockey state, it's hard to participate in the rivalry. I just love to see the Wings win. Lidstrom is what, 80? He's the Brett Favre of defensemen minus the off-season reality-show posturing.

However, Senator fans can suck it.

Would like to congratulate the Cleveland Browns fans for aquiring LB Scott Fujita.
He has been a real playmaker here in Nawlins.Class act guy and great with the locals.

Hope he has a positive impact to your team.

Favre will be there, I'm sure. He's playing this season, he just won't go to training camp.

Mel Kiper Jr. was saying on Mike & Mike this morning that he expects the Vikings to draft Tim Tebow. What you think, IC?

I think he'll do well, but he needs to go to a team that can sit him for a year or two, not a team with an immediate QB need. All this talk about why he won't do well is because he has not, so far, been a pocket passer. He has imperfect mechanics, doesn't throw a laser, etc.

But, he is a leader, he's not stupid, he's got top-notch character (where you at, Big Ben?) and is a competitor through and through. I'll take the competitiveness and character over perfect mechanics any day. Remember Ryan Leaf? Great mechanics, no character. Aaron Brooks? Great mechanics, fantastic arm, no competitiveness. Jamarcus Russell (and this from an LSU fan) great physical specimen, incredible arm, (60 yards while kneeling) but he is as dumb as a post. All three were, or will be, eventual busts.

Am I saying pick him in the top 5? No, but then the teams that have top five picks need a QB that can start in September. But if he's still on the board at 30, 31, or 32, The Vikes, Colts, and Saints would all do well to pick him up.

But, that being said, here is my prediction: 2nd round to New England with the 53rd overall pick.

Boy,the Saints got a nice schedule this year.
We even got a Thanksgiving day game???Not sure even a Superbowl win should grant a Thanksgiving Day game.

We didn't need him. Granted Orton is in the last year of his contract, we needed way more help in the secondary defense...

Give him a chance, Diggs. As an SEC'er, I've watched that kid play for 4 years. He's not just hype. I'm interested to see how he does in the climate there - mile-high and dry.

No we didn't NEED him (I say we cause I'm a Broncos fan), but I think he will do good. Orton won't come back, he is not a franchise QB. Tebow is. This year he will work on it and by next year, all of the doubters will be biting their tongues.
