Just noticed slight leak of clean clear with a hint of red oil coming from front end. Probably a seal in front differential / 4wd mechanism. Haven't been hard on this Jeep, but have had to use full time a couple of times this winter on slick roads. Anyone else have this happen?

The red coloration is a dead giveaway for transmission fluid. If it's coming from the front of the vehicle, it may be leaking where the trans cooler lines connect to the radiator.

Check your trans fluid level. Let me give you a bit of advice on checking the trans fluid: Do it when the vehicle is cold and has been sitting overnight. I found the dipstick VERY hard to read when the fluid was hot and I had shifted through all the gears, etc., and I ended up overfilling it. Spent my Saturday morning siphoning trans fluid up through the dipstick tube.

Yeah, but front dif takes ATF +4 too. It could be the front diff. If it was a leaking hose, wouldn't there be more fluid?

Front diff takes 80W-90 gear oil, not ATF +4.

You'd fry that diff if you use ATF+4 in it.There is gear oil in the diffs, both front and rear.ATF+4 is in your PS system, transmission, and t-case only.

Check your powersteering hoses. It seems like a hose may leak where a soft line is crimped to the hard metal line base on other threads here. Yep, mine is leaking too when I noticed low PS steering fluid and saw a a clear leaking area on my PS steering hoses.
