Only way you'll get a view like that out of a skylite is if you're on your side. but I know what you mean. I lived in Perryville AK and Chignik Lake AK for 4 years. Currently living 3 miles from the base of 3, 14ers in Colorado.

Hence the phrasing, dubious distinction

I give credit where credit is due.... NO other branch does as well as the Marines, with out-dated equipment that is thrown away by other branches. No branch has the esprit de corps, loyalty, or dedication as the USMC.

Although it seemed as though many would utterly check their brain at the door before loading up for a mission. I have seen bad tactical ideas before, but when I was fighting with 1st MEU in Iraq it seemed some of those NCO's and Officers had the patent on dumb.

I think the army air corp has a need for lower testing folks. Somebody's got to paint the stripes on the runway don't they?

Naaa the USAF overpays some civilian to do such a menial task... the Army would wait for someone to get an Art15 and turn it into their extra duty. Trust me ;)

No, they would get a spool of flight line and roll it out. :SOMBRERO:

Well, since you have decided, good luck.

The Marine Battle cry: Hoo RAh
The Army battle cry: Hu Ya
The Navy cry: Yee Haa
The Air Force yell: Wheeeeeeeeeee!!!

Make fun of the Air Force all you want; the enlisted men send the officers into combat.
There was no better feeling than sitting at the end of the runway waving Bye Bye to the officers.
