As the title says Im looking at getting a roof rack finally and these are the 2 I have narrowed it down to. I am going to purchase this rack ASAP today for my trip hopefully late next week.

Here are my uses that I can think of off the top of my head:
beach stuff including several bogey boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers etc.
skiing stuff including ~4 pairs of skis and poles.
Random camping stuff like tents coolers grill maybe.
Off road gear (kinda ties into camping).

Mopar:
I like the looks of this rack, it comes with all the parts to install and has the option for a web net to hold everything in and I can order it from the dealer (they can have it tomorrow).

But it is smaller then the surco, can hold less weight, and looks to be harder to mount skis to.

Surco:
I love the way this rack looks (love the safari look), slightly cheaper then the mopar, can hold more weight and is larger in size.

But Ill have to go out and get u bolts to install it, it will need to be shipped and will most likely not be here by Thursday for me to use on my trip (not a huge turn off but up there) and there is no net option.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks! :JEEPIN:

No thanks. I was originally going to get one, but opted away from it cause I like these two better. If money was no object I would have going with a boiler rack but I could not save enough in time for my trip so its between these 2.

My surco got here today... it is used, but paint was the only thing effected.

I gotta question... does anyone think that the aluminum would allow line-x to stick to it, or should I just sand her down myself, prep her and then rustoleum?
