I just had a local shop replace my passenger side CV axle and intermediate shaft Dec 29th 2009 (less than 2 months ago). I just noticed today that the new (NAPA remanufactured) CV axle's inner boot has a rip and is spraying blue grease all over! I have less than 300 miles on it since it was replaced, and haven't even taken it off road. How could it rip that quickly?

My lift up front is currently sitting about 22" from wheel center to fender well, and the CV angles look better than most lifted libbys I've seen posted here.

That'll happen sometimes...
They have a warranty so at least it won't cost you any more money.... Just time.
Also make sure the clamps are on tight...

Also have to check them when you buy them have seen a couple that had very small slits about an inch long three or four places around the boots. I always check them real close before installation

and as 03CDKJ stated they do have a warranty and they are easy to swap out

When I replaced my OEM shaft with an re-man shaft, it broke 3 differant times at almost exactly yhe same millage. 3K miles maint:
OIL CHANGE
CV/Half Shaft

I always inspected the new shaft before I put it in the KJ. It got to the point where removing the lift was a better choice. It has been 87K miles now and I have not had any problems since.

:dizzy: THAT WENT TO MY HEAD!

I hate that I had so many issues with my rig after the FrankenLift. My KJ looked fantastic. All other JK's in my area all looked at me and was amazed what a KJ can look like.
I was thinking about doing a budget lift this time around.

Good news. I just picked up my Jeep. They replaced the CV axle under warranty, parts and labor. Hopefully this one lasts a little longer! :JEEPIN:
