It was good to meet you Digger and thanks for showing me some of the mods you have done.

The Night Ops KK with Line-X is awesome  ... but I'm going to pass, at least for my KK. Maybe on my TJ some day though.

Spent all day installing the new JBA 2.5" lift and new wheels and tires.
I'll post up some pictures tomorrow because it was already getting dark when I finished and I am just too tired. I am a wimpy computer engineer and don't have the arms of a mechanic :)

Drove it around for a few minutes over some bumpy roads and pot holes and the bilsteins definitely feel good. Can't wait to take it out on some trails soon.

Question for those of you who have installed bilsteins already. The top of the rear shocks had a bushing inside the rubber piece the bolt goes through, but the boot end did not. Just thought that was strange that one end had and the other didn't.
Where any of yours the same?
Did a quick fab job with some 5/8" steel pipe to put bushings in the boot end to get them on today.

Thanks for the hospitality Digger.

I think the pictures show that I need a lift a lot more than I need Line-X though. Maybe Line-X on the TJ... but it would have to be dark green.

I feel myself slipping over to the dark side! :grim:

 :5SHOTS: :ROTFL: Hilarious...I like your style. Having to dig through last night's pants pockets and add up reciepts in the morning sucks, unless they only total $50...congrats. This got me reminiscing of darker days...

The Morning After: Downfalls of a Night Out: :5SHOTS:

1. Having no recollection of the last few hours of the night and having to ask around trying to figure out what the hell you did last night only to find that your friends are equally baffled.
2. Having to figure out where you are and leave immediately upon waking for fear the fat chick you woke up next to might eat you.
3. Having to pray you don't sh*t your pants in transit.
4. Having to make up stories about why your nose is broken and your shirt is bloody, because you don't have a clue. :dizzy:
5. Having everyone at Bob Evans glare at you because you forgot wash off the erotic art your friends drew all over your face with permanent marker. :|
6. Being able to relate to the guy in Casino that had his head in a vice.
7. Remembering that you ate White Castle only because your sh*t smells just like it. :SOMBRERO:
8. Having to work. :banghead:

Zach Galifianakis has some of the best hangover moments; waking up with a bear licking his balls in Out Cold or finding the tiger in the bathroom in The Hangover. That whole scene when they wake up in the hotel room in The Hangover is priceless if you are able to relate to how they are feeling.

These are just a few of the downfalls of partying too hard and is in no way a complete list. I woke up in some strange situations in college and have a fair amount of drunk stories that I probably shouldn't be sharing on a Jeep forum, but this post got me laughing. If I've offended anyone, I am sorry. I'd love to hear some more funny "morning after" stories though.

There are, of course, many more horrible and dangerous things that result from drinking excessively. The most horrible way to wake up would obviously be handcuffed to a hospital bed or not to wake up at all. Many lives are destroyed by irresponsible people that drink and get behind the wheel. I am not advocating excessive or irresponsible drinking and I certainly don't codone driving under the influence.
That being said, party on! :5SHOTS:  :pepper:  :ROTFL:

This is one of the best post I have seen In a while!

Thanks, Digger. I was hoping somebody would enjoy it. Here is one of my favorite morning after stories.

I was seventeen and it was the night of my girlfriend's high school graduation. My friend threw a huge bash at his lake property with multiple kegs and an obsene amount of underage kids partying really hard. I was supposed to be on a plane to Mexico at 9 a.m. the next morning so I had decided to enjoy the night in moderation. That plan went right out the window after my first keg stand. A few shots and a lot of beers later and it was time to go. I had lost my new camera, but couldn't give a sh*t because my girlfriend was all over me and we couldn't wait to get back to her house.

This is where my recollection gets a little fuzzy. I remember bits and pieces of us getting back to her house and the festivities that followed in her basement, on the stairs, and on the pool table. My performance was memorable from what I can remember, or at least that's how I like to remember it.

The next thing I knew I was laying on the upstairs couch at 6 a.m. with her mom standing over me, "Richard, why are you upstairs? Why are you naked? There really wasn't much to say at this point, so all I was able to get out was, "Oh, I slept here. Good morning." I was sprawled out, butt-ass-naked on the living room love seat with a couch pillow over my junk. She walked away cursing under her breathe, so I made a break for my gf's room. "L**, your mom just saw me naked." "What!? Richard!?" (She had a hundred different ways to say my name and they all conveyed different meaning. This was a combination of "WTF?" and "You jackass!") "I don't know, baby, but I gotta go." Our clothes were everywhere, strewn about the basement in comical fashion. I didn't have time to be naked. I grabbed a shirt and a pair of shorts from her dad's laundry, kissed her goodbye, and broke out with the quickness. Luckily, I lived about a quarter mile away and I was already packed. I ran home in a daze just trying to process everything that was going on. I couldn't help but laugh and praise the fact that I was fleeing the country. By the time I got home, changed, and grabbed my stuff; the limo was there to pick me up and hours later I was on the beach in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico drinking tequila and recounting my evening.

Luckily, the awkwardness around her parents wore off before her graduation party two weeks later. I dated her off and on for 3 more years so this story followed me, but it wasn't the last time her mom saw me naked.

Looks good wolverine. Do you like the way it handles?

There is something poetic about getting 8 inches of snow the day after you finish your lift. Perfect timing!
