It says open circuit because I don't have a temp. sensor.
I got it off a guy on jeepforum.com who was parting out a 01 WJ ltd.
$35 for the evic and the WHOLE harness. 8) :JEEPIN:

Its on there nice and tight. I just have the get a screw so I can screw the back of it down so its closer to the roof line.
But those tabs hold it in ice and tight.

Wrapped the whole harness in electrical tape, ran it under the headliner. Had to pull it down a little bit where it meets the windshield to get it up in there, then ran it down the a-pillar and under the dash. Spliced the wires into the correct wires by cutting about 1/2" out of each wire, put the wire from the evic in the middle of the OBD wire and wrapped it around the OBD wire. Then I wrapped up the splices with electrical tape. For the power wire I spliced it into the power wire on my headunit and viola, it was done! :D

scotch blocks?
And I don't know how to solder nor do I have a soldering iron.

I think my splicing job will do just fine. :D

scotch blocks is a more secure way to splice, not as good as solder tho

one side of the block is open to an uncut unstripped wire, the other side you press in the end of the wire you want included in the circuit

pinch down the splice gate, wrap with tape and voila

not really :P

it's just wrapped up with tape

if it's like that at the M&G, it won't be for long, all that stuff goes with me wherever i go lol

then you won't have to worry about vibration, wires that get pulled during other maintenence or installs, etc disconnecting your evic and shorting out your 35 dollar gem dawg
