How do the Bds springs compare to Ome? I see the Ome have several rates and it appears that Bds only has one spring rate available. My application would be dd and mountain trails in colorado. Anyone use the Bds kit? If so how do you like it and do you use it offroad much? Thanks Mark

We have installed or there have been two or three BDS here in OHIO, two disappeared soon after the install took place but seemed to be good.
All in all I have only heard good things about BDS suspensions
You are correct in the springs rates
OME has 3 for the gassers
925s which is about the same as stock ( stock is about 300-320 depending)
926s which are 375
927s which are rated at 400 lbs
BDS rates theirs at 435 lb for the front, 210 for the rear

Personally I ran the OME927s for over 100,000 miles before I swapped them out for 790s (Rated at 500 lb) without any problems, they are actually going on another members KJ soon to replace his Daystar

I've got BDS lift, and I really like it. Their springs are rated slightly above OME, but I'm sure it doesn't make a difference. Both are good ways to go, you really can't go wrong.

There are a few Rancho RSX 17505 left around, they are a great shock for the front with either lift ( OME or BDS)

I have a 2" BDS lift on my KJ. Its been on just under a month now and I can simply say best money I ever spent on my KJ to this point. I still need some bigger tires to fill out the wheel wells but it looks good. Will keep you updated if I notice any sag.

Thanks house34. Sounds like you really like it so far. Please do keep me updated as it will be a little while before I can buy a lift.

This weekend will be my first off road trip with the lift. I will be sure to post up some flex shots and some trail pics.

I have had my BDS on for around 2 years now with no sagging. I have taken off road many times also. Great buy. I even used the stock shocks in the front.

Exactly what I did with the front. Have you upgraded UCAs yet?

I might have to get rid of the lift, so you could always get a cheap one from me. Have had it on for about 7k miles.

Also got to sell tow hooks, skids, bumpstops, and the lift.

So just an update. The lift did amazing on the trails this weekend. Only issues I have right now is slight dents in the driver side rocker panel(any one who has rock rails for sell shoot me a PM with a price.) Also ended up some how doing something to my washer fluid bottle. Dont ask how because its tucked up and in behind the bumper and i havent noticed any damage to the bumper. But as far as the lift goes it was amazing. As soon as i get some action shots i will post them up.

Just sitting on a trail waiting for some TJs to get tugged out of something my KJ walked through.

LOL, that's awesome Ed.

As far as the washer bottle, my best guess would be that a big chunk of ice somehow got in the "airspace" between your bumper and the bottle and did the damage.... wasn't that the side which was attacked by the deer?

What did you bend your rocker on? (What trail/obstacle?)
You must have come down hard on something?

Mark

One of the bends came from backwoods. I assume this was while backing up to tug a blazer a chuck of ice got kicked up. The second one was from Timber trail not sure where on the trail though. :?
