Any thoughts on rear shocks after a Daystar lift? Some have said that the existing shocks will be ok but it seems to me that they'd top out. Don't want that to happen out on the trail......W

If mine top out, I haven't noticed yet. Since rear shocks are so easy to change, go have some fun and see if it's ok 8)

Otherwise, there is a specific Rancho Rear shock that people use. I don't remember the model number, but it's on the boulderbars.com website.

I ran Daystar 2.5" spacers in the back with factory shocks. I had no trouble at all on the trail. I only changed to Ranchos to get a little more flex. I actually prefer the ride quality of the stockers on these Ranchos on the street. But the Ranchos flex a tad better off-road. Either will work fine, depends on your needs/budget.

17004 is the Rancho number for RSX series shocks
5248 is the Rancho number for RS series shocks

Rocky Road outfitters www.rocky-road.com has some good shocks...oil damped not gas....Pre-Runner shock they call it, you can buy them separate, but they are standard with all of their coil lifts.....they say oil damped is better than gas....but personal opinions will prevail I'm sure.

I ran Rancho RSX' with my Daystar puck lift for well over a year with fabulous results.

Got them from AllJ; you can't beat their price.
