Looks nice. We don't have much beach in Colorado!

Looks good, especially with the VERY unique rod carrier on the back of the KJ. What beach
is that? Camping on the sand this early in the season just can't be any better. No crowds! Can't wait till our beaches up north open for the season. I just bought a surfcasting
rig for my beach excursions this year. Thanks for sharing...

LOL

The surf was really pounding, and i managed to get both rods with about 8oz of weight in a hole so they didn't drift, basically, i'd cast and it would go ZOOOP right down the beach within a matter of a minute or so

once i got them in a hole pretty far out, the waves were pounding the lines, my friend mentioned he wished he had a pickup truck with a truck box with pole holders mounted on the box for extra height instead of them on the sand

so i pulled out 16 heavy zipties, linked them doubled and took the longest pole holders we had and tucked them in the tail light guards and zip tied them up, had no problems with them shifting even when driving around on the beach with the poles in

The camping was fine until thursday night we got absolutely soaked three different times, after fishing in the rain most of the day we got dry clothes and i started a fire, IN the rain, and cooked up some kebasa and some fox we had left over (got a tag for it from the wild life officer beforehand since the only fox season that's year round is for dogs only, but he allowed it)

The tent (10 year old three season 3 person tent) started leaking like a sieve with a big puddle at the doorway and drops leaking from all the seams, WHILE it was raining, i got out a can of 3m rubberized undercoating and sprayed the seams - the leaks stopped completely

guess it pays to carry all sorts of stuff in your jeep, i'm just a creature of habit

the beach was Carolina Beach north, pretty popular beach for camping

OHV-KJ tried to get up with me while i was out there, left me a voice mail then i left him one and exchanged a few texts but i guess he got busy with some female or something and never heard back from him :P

the fishing was poor, very poor, but its very early to be fishing in NC anyway talked to a guy who was starting up a charter boat for fishing at the scottsman next to the beach entrance, might take him up on the help with gas and spend a day fishing on his boat one weekend soon

I pondered some sort of contraption for propelling fishing weights long distances while we were trying to battle the surf but i'll post that in the fabrication section and see what you guys come up with :P

edit:
by the way, the next picture that I post of my jeep is gonna be droolalishus :) but that's in another week or two

Really like the looks of the rear bumper. I looked of trailready's web page and they said bumpers were in production again. Does anyboby know if they are for a 06 liberty?

Yeah i go campin at CB couple times a year, spent a week out there when these pics were taken

I'll keep my eye out for ya regarding that camping, if my schedule allows i'd love to

the TR page that says production is up again, is actually wrong, they've stopped producing any KJ bumpers what so ever, i just ordered the last TR front that they made and the owner said they aren't making anymore
