quote="MtnLuvr"]Had the most enjoyable weekend day I've had in awhile this past Saturday. I got to spend it not working and spent it with my dad working on the Jeep:

First, installed a 3 D-cell LED Maglight below the driver's seat:
Image

Ok so ive got the Mag Lite and Clips, how did you mount the clips? Just drilled fresh holes into the metal?

Yep, position the brackets where you want them, mark and drill away. I got one end of one bracket secured before I secured one end of the other bracket then did a test fitting. I also used blue painter's tape to make it easier to see my marks to hit with the drill. When positioning the brackets, be sure they'll clear the bottom of the seat, won't get kicked by you when exiting and won't be affected if you have the power seats that automatically move to the full rearward position when the ignition is off. Also, feel behind where you plan to drill as IIRC there is a steel rib or something on the frontmost seat support.

Hope the below help:

pics will be up tomorrow but as far as function... well i can tell you throttle response is MUCH better. i'm pretty sure i'm getting alot more air too cause the throttle body spacer would whistle more int he past, but now the intake sounds like a huge vacuum haha. readings on my scan gauge also tell that its performance helps... all in all i think it was a real great investment....

and actually the fastman has really been tested.. one of my buddies who doesnt have insurance called me last night cause he was havign chest pains and since i'm certified in a few things, plus i have a car i could help him/ drive him to a hospital... so you don't worry my friend is fine, turns out he has asthma and was havning an attack and allergies were playin a role too... i forget all the details... BUT the back to the truck... well i got in my car and first thing i did was hit the esp button... i can honestly say i didnt think it was possible to drift in an truck until last night. i can also say that when i hit the gas, i pounded it, and i hit the seat...

i have pictures of the fastman installed vs the old throttle body...

No and that was the problem. It never rains, but this winter has been good and we have had some good rain storms on and off. Now we have been on a dry run and the leaves fall, pollen sticks, birds doo doo and the truck was getting to dirty to just clean the window. Wow were my tires and rims dirty!

I put togehter my new WP cargo basket with an 8" lift. I bought this for a road trip last week, and of course it didn't get here in time. It's OK, I'll use it!

I'm too lazy for pics...

Following SkinInc69's excellent write-up in this thread as a guide, yesterday I did the pinch seam modification to increase clearance at the rear of the front wheel wells:

Like Skin, after I beat the pinch seam over (as shown above), I used silicone to seal up all exposed metal and then after a few hours applied rubberized undercoating too and then modified the plastic wheel well liner. Only took about 1 hour per side for the pinch seam modification work but then waiting for silicone or undercoating to reasonably dry or running to multiple auto parts stores to get replacement trim panel fasteners made the whole thing take about 5-6 hours, including lunch break. Wish I would've made this mod to the wheel well liners before my tires chewed them up on the pinch seam (and at the front). Oh well

WoW even on your 245/75r16 it rubbed that pinch weld. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm on my 32s

Your choice of backspacing and offset in your wheels makes a big difference in this. I knew it would be close with the wheels I choose but I didn't want any of the other wheel options which were available at the time (nearly a year ago and as it was, I had to wait for the first production run of my wheels to arrive on the slow boat from China).

The part number (courtesy of Digger) is 52125385AB. I got it from moparpartsamerica.com and I think it was about $27 plus $9 shipping. I never priced the dealer. On the moparpartsamerica.com website it said the retail price was $40 so I figured that is what the dealer would charge.
