You can change the rear-end as easily as any other Jeep. However for the front the gears around only available from the dealer for about 350 dollars or so. If you are 2wd then you don't need to worry about the front. Two people on the board have changed out to 4.10s and both said it really didn't make much of a difference.

sounds good. i didnt think a gear change would be necessary, but just wanted to throw it out there. anyone in the southern ohio area interested in helping install the lift? i dont mind taking it to a mechanic, but it would be fun to get some people together and doing an install, then throwing some pics up on the site...

I'm in dayton which is probably less than an hour drive. I'm more than willing to help with the install. Let me know.

Nope just yourself and the Jeep will be fine. I can do a rough alignment to get you by for a while until you can get one done at a shop. Might want to check a couple reports on the rough country if you haven't ordered it already.

We can just do some clevis lift in the front and an extra spring isolator in the rear to give you an extra 1/2 inch.

The problem with Rough Country is not the lift height, but the way achieves the lift. Its kind of hard to explain over the internet, but when we put on your lift I will show you what I mean. The Rough Country might be okay if you don't really plan on doing any 4-wheeling. However, you can easily run into problems such as upper ball joint contact with the springs and bottom out your struts with the Rough Country. Better to spend a few extra buck up front that have two pay twice to fix the problem. From what I have heard Rusty's is a pretty good kit for the price.
