Looking good!! One suggestion... get some stud and put 2 dummy lug nuts on to get rid of the ugly holes. It's an easy mod....

Hey thanks for bringing that up. I forgot I have one of those mod kits somewhere in my garage.

Qwert380; The wheel looks great.

Budke; Those ugly sport wheels look a lot better black.

FWIW, if anyone gets the notion to paint their (entire) wheel(s), Eastwood sells a Wheel Shield & Mask Kit that makes both painting wheels (and using products like Armor-All) much easier than masking tape and newspaper.

Looks great. I love how you left the aluminum lip revealed. It's a good contrast. Couple of questions?

Other than the Adhesion promoter. Did you do any other prep work on the wheels, like hitting it with a scotch brite pad to roughen up the existing clear coat?

After the 2 coats of color, did you apply any clear coat to protect the finish?

How does the surface finish look consider it came from a rattle can?

Did you wet sand at all?

Just wondering...I like the looks of the results. Just want to get the whole process in an attempt to duplicate.

I would have done every step you mentioned 99_XC600, but if he didn't, they sure turned out nice.

Remind me to find the one I have (somewhere around here?) and bring to the next M&G.
