My MT/R's were not wearing as well as I had hoped and they were having trouble staying balanced. I think it is because I drive way too fast for them.
A friend of a friend gave me some P265/70/16 Destination LE's. Yeah, not a great tread pattern but they are about the same height as the MT/R's. I slapped them on some steelies I had and put them on the KJ. It really did make a difference. The KJ rides much better at highway speeds. My GF, who is quite large in the chestal region, is much happier without all of the constant bouncing ( even if I am not

.) The butt dyno leads me to believe that the KJ is a little happier on-road with the lighter p-series tires.
It looks like I will be running the 265's most of the time and I can slap the 245's on as needed/wanted. I can leave the spare 245 on as the height is similar. The 265's will probably need replaced in 10,000 miles or so, but I think I will go with a lighter all-season or p-metric AT tire for daily driving. It may be easier on front end parts, too.
