So I did it backwards. I bought brand new Wranger Silent Armors for my Libby before my lift because my tread was horrible. Umm.. just wondering if 245/70R/16 will look fine with that lift and if anyone has these size tires with a lift can post pictures because I'm worried it will look stupid with smaller tires.

Thanks guys,
Liberjeep

8) Fouros, I'm also planning to put 245/70R16's on my KJ in the next couple of months (either Wrangler AT/R's or Scorpion ATR's) and after it's safely landed down in enzed I'll work on the lift - max 2". Are these tyres going to look OK once the Red Indian is lifted, or will it look under-tyred? :JEEPIN:

I run 245/75/16 and they are not bad. The 265/75/16 looked better but I would have needed to mod some things...so I just went with the 245's. The next set might go as much as 285 :frankie: then I will do some body modding. :D

Hi Guys:

I am still relatively new to mods on Liberty Diesels, I am hoping that I did not make the wrong choice in tire sizes... The stock tire size is P225/75R16. I purchased a set of winter tires - Michelin Latitude X-Ice - in P245/70R16 plus a set of steel rims for them.

Will these tires rub on the inside fender walls if I have a stock ride height? Do I have to get a lift kit in order to use these tires? I used a tire size calculator, and the two sizes have virtually the same diameter, so I thought nothing of picking up the 245s as they are only 0.25" larger in diameter. However, I did not take into account the width of the 245s and how that dimension may cause rubbing. When I saw this subject come up discussing P245/70R16 tires in conjunction with lift kits, I became worried as I can not afford a lift kit right now.

Thanks, Tommudd!

I will probably get OME kits for both my Liberty CRD and my mother's CRD in the future, but for now I have to get by with the basics.

I have corresponded with ARB about their lift kits, and they say that their OME lift kits only raise the Liberty 1.5". How is everyone getting 2.5" and more from these kits?

I sent you an e-mail regarding diff covers; a fellow member posted a reply to my initial inquiry about them and recommended that I contact you. I would really like it if ARB made diff covers for the Chrysler 8.25" axle as they have everything I am looking for in a diff cover. Read that to be fill AND drain holes; the Liberty CRD has an axle fluid change interval of 20,000 kms, and taking diff covers off to change fluid is messy and unnecessary if other manufacturers of aftermarket diff covers would just wake up and put drain holes/plugs in them.

Best regards,

Jeff

Here is my '07 Sport unlifted with 245/70 16s, no rubbing issues, with lift you will be fine.
