OK, from radiator support to ground is 20.5", front driver hub-to-fender is 23.25", front pass. hub-to-fender is 23.5", rear driver and pass. hub-to-fender is 22" even... guess i could still use like a half inch in the rear

Nice! I think ill be shooting for 22.5 to keep the front in a little more happy. Now go wheeling and get some good flexing shots!

Aite, check it out... got a moded version of JBAs 4" adjusta strut system that right now is adjust to like 4.90" in the front. The rear, for the moment, is the normal 4" setup, but i think im going to add a 3/4" spacer to level it. Same Eagle Alloys from before with 4.825" BS with NO SPACERS! 255/85 Maxxis MTs (approx. 33.4x10.5). with the front pich welds removed, no rubbing and normal ride hieght at all. Inner wheel well liner seems to set in the way a lil, but i think im gonna take it out and cut it up a bit to fix that.

oops, how did that get here 8)

In these two shots u can see where i cut off a 2" wide strip on the bottom of the bumper

I used a bunch of zip-ties in random places under all that inner liner to kinda pull and stretch the wheel well open and clear the bumper where i cut it.

at full rear flex, i get a slight rub on the rear door. probly just gonna throw like a 1/4" spacer under the bumpstop

BIG THANKS to Marlin over at Jeepin by Al for the hook up with some awesome, high quality aftermarket parts, DiggerFreek here for the queries i had for him and for the vast amount of info/input he was able to give me on this project, and Boblemoche over at the JeepKJ forum for the inspiration and answering countless questions for me

thats goto to be sone mean tire rub

Actually, i have NO RUB whatsoever except for the rear at forced flexing, and that will be fixed soon when i toss a 1/2" plate under my rear bumpstops. That may change to a 3/4" plate tho if i decide to add another coil isolator in the back

probably wont ever do a cradle drop. "why?" u ask? well, quite simply, i think cradle drops suck! u LOOSE clearance and its darn expensive :furious: Im workin on gettin some CVs trimmed down to tolerate the angles better, but ill end up saving that money from NOT doing a cradle drop and put it toward doing an SFA mod on this thing in a few years.

custom cv's will cost a few grand you should be able to drop the cradle for far less. I think Al has a cradle drop for the KJ 6" lift, don't know if that would work for the KK. You do lose a little clearance but with your 33 tires it makes up for the loss.

But hey both options should help. Seeing your jeep almost made me think about a trade in...almost. :SOMBRERO:

well, in that case, i guess im getting a killer deal. Ive had a racing fab. shop quote me about 500$ for some fabed CVs. I think im gonna send them some salvaged CVs i found at a local salvage yard for like 120$ for both. At this point, i think this is the route ill be taking, but itll probably be another 4-5 months before i can get around to doing all that.

Looking very good. Just watch out for your steering and your drive shaft if you going to do serious offroading. good luck mate.

Surprised thought you was way higher than that
So much difference between the KJ and the KK
since middle of the hub to fender is so close from yours to mine
interesting.....................

I have been asking JBA for a cradle drop to reduce the anglke and releive the pressure. I think the loss height is not to worry as it is very little and it's already tucked up there. To get the angle to be less is important.

For the CV issue we just need to find us an axle manufacturer that will make us up the half shafts with High angle U joints or a Porsche style CV
